  1. Hello, I’m a student from your Tuesday morning class. I just wanted to let you know I did attend Whitney’s presentation early today. It was very interesting and I didn’t expect him to be so funny! I had a good time and learned. Thank you for letting us know about this. Have a great vacation.

  2. Very informative! The advertising design students need a lot more people like him coming in to speak.

Too bad he didn’t talk more about how he first started and the kind of barriers a student should expect to bump into when he/she trying to break into the business.

  3. Hello, Well first of I just want to say, that Mr. Pillsbury is a very funny, yet very realistic person. No wonder he has made it so far in the field of advertising. He seems to be a mixture of laid back and professional. He also provided much information as to some of his work (The current Wendy’s campaign.) The way he engaged the students at the end was a well eye-opener. He asked what some of us wanted to do with ourselves, he told us the truth about how difficult it is to make it in this industry, he probably either broke some peoples morals, and presented a challenge for others. Point is I think A LOT of people were influenced at that presentation on Wednesday.

  4. I found Whiteny’s lecture to be very entertaining and informational. It was wonderful how he engaged the audience and really got into the branding of the product from start to finish. The whole process confirms to me that I love working within a team based structure to brainstorm and come up with the most creative and complete solution to a problem or project. Whitney emphasized real world solutions to real world problems across the whole spectrum of an ad campaign, from billboards to digital. As a student you can never get enough of this inspirational input. As I pointed out to Whitney. The art field is not for lightweights! Everything comes down the pike to the art department last, and you still have to make the deadline!! Really glad that I attended!

  5. Thanks for being a great audience! I’d gladly do it again. My favorite moment was when I asked one smarty young lady “do you have a trust fund?” and she said, “well, yes.” Honesty all around. Fun stuff!
