About Dan Wong

Dan Wong is Associate Professor in the Communication Design department at the New York City College of Technology, CUNY. His teaching focuses on web design and its practices. He began teaching in 2008.

Dan has been working as a professional graphic designer since the late 1990s. He has designed print, web, packaging and multimedia products having extensive experience working in the medical communications and pharmaceutical marketing industry. Branding and marketing new products has been a focus of his expertise.

Most recently, Dan is executive director, cofounder and co-chairs Design Incubation, a scholarly organization that showcases research in communication design. It began in 2014, and has had many internationally renowned design faculty and design programs participating and hosting in its activities.

Dan was trained as a sculptor. He received his Master of Fine Art degree at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI. He also received an AOCA from the Ontario College of Art (today known as OCADU), and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.
