For Next Portfolio Class: Wed, Feb 6

For the next class, be sure to bring all of your work which will potentially be put into your portfolios. As a class we will be critiquing the work and considering whether it is portfolio ready, appropriate for your design focus and career goals, and suggest ways to make improvements.
Also bring your latest resumes.
And finally bring the type combinations that you are considering to use as branding throughout your portfolios, resumes, cover letters, business cards, media package.

Next Mobile Class: Tues, February 5

There is still no word on whether we will be moving to a classroom with computers. I’m working on it. Plan on arriving to class in room G102a, and if we have moved, a note will be left on the door.
A Google Doc spreadsheet is being set up for each student to sign up for a mobile device they will present, and later, a website they will review. It will be first come, first served. I will access your email accounts via the feedburner subscription list. If that email is not set up as a Google account, set it up, or email me with your Google Account email.
There should be no repeats of mobile devices being presented, nor websites being reviewed. If you see a make/model you were planning on reviewing already taken, select another device. This goes the same for websites.

For Next Analytics Class: Monday, February 4

Be prepared to work live on the internet for next class. This means having access to a previous domain with hosting, or beginning to use the domain and hosting for your major project.
We will be installing WordPress from scratch, and we will be discussing the first steps to getting your website launched.
Your teams should have discussed possible domain names this week, and we will be reviewing those names and preparing to purchase them. The domains and the hosting of your major project should be done by Wednesday, February 6 at the latest.
